Brother John Olsen visited the Generalate in Baltimore in November to discuss his life as a Xaverian Brother. We’ve chosen here to share a few clips on the theme of Vocation.

Brother John has been a Xaverian Brother for over 60 years. He is currently the Associate Director at the Assisi Bridge House and Independent Living Program in the Houma-Thibodaux Diocese in Louisiana. The ABH is a residential halfway house for chemically dependent men and the Independent Living Program is a transitional residential program for men who have successfully completed the ABH program.

Brother John has been involved with ministries the world over. Prior to returning to Houma, Brother John spent 10 years in Kenya, teaching and counseling to the poor and marginalized.
