We are pleased to present ‘Making the Word our Home: A Xaverian Journey Through Advent.’
Advent is about waiting and preparing patiently for Christmas, the coming of Christ. However, we know that the One we seek is already with us in the “common, ordinary, unspectacular flow of everyday life” (Fundamental Principles of the Xaverian Brothers). I am once again pleased to share these personal and heartfelt reflections on the Advent Scripture by the Xaverian Brothers, our Associates, and our Partners in Mission.
Listening to the voice that speaks to us through Advent Scripture and these reflections is a good way to journey together as we become more alert to the many ways God comes into our lives in the here and now. During this season of hope we contemplate our blessings as we more deeply encounter the God who waits for us.
When we let go of our need to control every aspect of our journey and turn to God we “will experience the ongoing revelation of Jesus” (Fundamental Principles). May you be strengthened by your reflections and the blessings of the Advent season. In this way, you will have all that you need to encounter the Prince of Peace.
Maranatha, Come Lord Jesus.
