“The LORD spoke to Ahaz: Ask for a sign from the LORD, your God….” – Is 7:10-11

As I read my Bible daily, I am reminded of the wondrous miracles and signs from ancient days. The birth of Jesus to the Virgin Mary is one of God’s greatest miracles and a sign of His love for humankind. That same love is revealed to me in the life of our school community. I am blessed to witness God’s presence each day in our students—their laughter in the hallways, their compassion for one another, their determination in the classroom, and their generosity in service.

Advent calls us to wait with hope and to recognize that Christ is already present in our midst. When I see our students supporting one another, striving to grow, and seeking truth, I see the light of Christ breaking through.

As a community, Advent challenges us to be more intentional about creating spaces where God’s love is seen and felt. In the way we welcome one another, share joy, and lift each other up, we have the opportunity to be living examples of Emmanuel, “God with us,” for all who walk through our doors. Together, we can make our schools a place where Christ’s presence is not only spoken of but experienced in real ways through acts of kindness, respect, and care.

Lord, this Advent, help us to continue to be a living witness of God’s presence and a place where Christ is welcomed with joy. Amen.
